STEPHANIE
COOPER HERDMAN, the firm's
managing partner, is experienced in real estate, commercial litigation
and lender law. Additionally, she has performed numerous jury and
bench trials, as well as trials within the Federal Bankruptcy Court
in the District of Nevada. Mrs. Cooper Herdman is also experienced
in the insurance defense practice, in which she represents insured
clients in vehicle and homeowner claims, as well as injury-related
asbestos actions pending in Federal multi-district litigation.
Mrs. Cooper Herdman is originally from Summersville, West Virginia,
and attended college in London, England, UK, and graduated from Fairmont
State College in West Virginia, Cum Laude, in three years with a dual
bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business Administration.
She earned her law degree at Ohio Northern University Law School on
a Barrister's Scholarship.
Upon graduation, Mrs. Cooper Herdman moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and
commenced her practice with
Bell, Christensen and Ashleman, PC in the civil litigation department.
She later became a partner with Miles & Cooper in Las Vegas, focusing
on real estate, commercial litigation and lender-related legal services.
Mrs. Cooper Herdman volunteers
as a mock trial judge and coach at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas,
College of Law and at Las Vegas high schools. She has also been a
speaker at many

commercial
lending and predatory lending practices; she has been a speaker at
seminars pertaining to Fair Debt and Collection Practices Act, RESPA,
TILA and judgment collection; and she has authored materials on the
same.

| LAWRENCE
E. CASTLE,
partner, practices primarily in the areas of commercial real
estate and lending, tax, franchise, partnership, corporate,
securities and commercial law. Mr. Castle is also a partner
in the associated firm of Castle, Meinhold & Stawiarski,
LLP in Denver, Colorado where he is responsible for non-routine
foreclosure matters, title problems and claims, commercial loan
foreclosures and deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure, as well as general
real estate law issues. He was previously an attorney in the
Denver law firm of Hopper, Kanouff, Smith, Peryam & Terry
commencing in 1984, and through his professional corporation
was a partner with that firm from 1987 to1990. Mr.
Castle received his Bachelor of Arts degree, Phi Beta Kappa,
from Colorado State University in 1976 and his Juris Doctorate,
cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law, Los
Angeles, California in 1980. In 1981, Mr. Castle received
his Masters of Law degree in taxation from New York University.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Real Estate
Law and Title, Business Law, and Tax Law sections of the Colorado
Bar Association, and the Tax Law sections of the California
and New Jersey Bar Associations. He was a member of the counsel
of the Taxation section of the Colorado Bar Association from
1985 to 1988.

MARTY
G. BAKER, is the
managing attorney of the Arizona office of The Cooper Castle Law Firm,
LLP. He practices primarily in the areas of commercial litigation,
mortgage banking law, real estate, creditor’s rights, lender
liability, and bankruptcy. Marty
obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law
School in 1995, and his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young
University with a double major in International Relations and Korean
Studies in 1992. He is licensed to practice law in the states of
Arizona, Nevada, and Minnesota, and is also licensed to practice
in the United States District Courts for the Districts of Arizona
and Nevada, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth
Circuit.

| MICHAEL
W. CHEN, is
lead counsel for Bankruptcy at our Firm.
Michael obtained his undergraduate degree
in history from the University of California at Berkeley,
following which he obtained his law degree from the University
of Arizona Law School. Michael was formerly a lead bankruptcy
assistant with Miles & Cooper, LLP and employed with the
United States Bankruptcy Court in the District of Nevada.
He is a member of the Nevada State Bar, Arizona
State Bar, Clark County Bar Association, United States District
Court for the District of Nevada, Nevada Federal Bar, Arizona
Federal Bar, and the American Bar Association.
In his spare time,
Michael is a member of the R-Crew Racing Team. |

DAVID SANDERS,
has significant experience in civil litigation and appellate work
with an emphasis in commercial litigation, mortgage banking law,
construction defect, residential real estate, contract litigation,
and insurance defense. He is also general counsel for several corporations.
He is licensed to practice law before all courts in Nevada as well
as the United States District Court for the District of Nevada,
and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Sanders received his Juris
Doctorate from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark
College in Portland, Oregon in 2001 and a Bachelor’s Degree
in History from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1997.
While actively practicing law,
David was an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at the Community College
of Southern Nevada (CCSN) and is a member of the ACLU. In his spare
time, David enjoys running and is a jazz enthusiast.

| ANITA
K.H. McFARLAND,
practices in the areas of mortgage banking and real property.
She has worked extensively in homeowners association issues
related to the mortgage banking industry, and has a wealth
of experience with unlawful detainers, evictions, surplus
funds disbursements, and quiet title actions. She is currently
the managing attorney of our closing department. Ms. McFarland
is licensed to practice in both Nevada and Arizona.
Prior to practicing law,
Anita worked in the hospitality industry and was a business
proprietor. Aside from her long hours at the office, Anita
enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and practicing
her Spanish. She spent a semester abroad in Queretaro, Mexico,
and has traveled extensively throughout Mexico.

R. SAMUEL EHLERS,
works primarily in the areas of Mortgage and Banking Law, Commercial
Litigation and Commercial Landlord\Tenant areas. Mr.
Ehlers is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, where he graduated
from the University of Utah with a History Degree cum laude. Mr.
Ehlers was a recipient of the James Garner Professional Scholarship
in 2001-2002 and studied Classical History.
Mr. Ehlers is a graduate of
the S.J. Quinney School of Law at the University of Utah. He has
worked at the law firm of Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Sanders
where he focused on medical malpractice defense. At the firm of
Wilde, Hansen LLP., he gained experience in Commercial Litigation
and Commercial Landlord/Tenant issues.
Mr. Ehlers served an LDS Mission
in Germany and is fluent in German and in his spare time, he enjoys
reading, hiking and working out.

HUONG
X. LAM, handles
cases in mortgage banking, commercial litigation, HOA issues,
real estate matters and business transactions.
Ms. Lam is a graduate
of Willamette Law School in Salem, Oregon. During law school,
she was a writer for Willamette Law Online, Intellectual
Property Division. Prior to law school, she worked in the
medical field as a Respiratory Therapist. She obtained her
undergraduate degree in Religious Studies from California
State University, Northridge. She is a member of the Nevada
State Bar, the United States District Court for the District
of Nevada, and the American Bar Association. She is also
a member of the legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi.
In her spare time, Ms.
Lam enjoys reading, sewing, painting, roller derby, hiking,
snowboarding, and camping. |

SARAI L. BROWN,
is a litigation associate practicing civil litigation, real estate
matters, and landlord/tenant disputes. Prior to joining The Cooper
Castle Law Firm, Sarai was a law clerk and first year associate
at Albright, Stoddard, Warnick and Albright where she practiced
primarily in Civil Litigation; Real Property Law; Family Law; Criminal
Law; Consumer Bankruptcy; and Mortgage and Lending Law.
Sarai is a native of California City, CA but relocated to Las Vegas
in 2002 to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2004. After
obtaining her undergraduate degree from UNLV, Sarai began her life
long dream of becoming an attorney when she was accepted into the
2005 entering class at William S. Boyd School of Law. She received
her Juris Doctorate in 2008 from William S. Boyd School of Law and
was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada the same year.
While at Boyd, Sarai was a student attorney at the Thomas and Mack
Legal Clinic, extern for the Honorable Judge N. Anthony DelVecchio,
member of the Black Law Student Association and the Christian Legal
Society, worked as a research assistant for Professor Mary Berkheiser,
and a teacher’s assistant for Professor Terril Pollman.
Sarai is an active member of her church and a loving mother.

| SHADD
A. WADE, is a litigation
associate practicing civil and commercial litigation. Mr. Wade
grew up as an Army Brat and moved frequently, living in locations
such as Colorado, California, Hawaii, and Korea. He recently
relocated to Las Vegas after being admitted to the Nevada State
Bar.
Mr. Wade earned his Bachelor’s
degree in Business and Computer Information Systems from Colorado
State University and previously worked in the Information
Technology field. His decision to pursue a career in law prompted
him to move to San Diego, California where he graduated from
Thomas Jefferson School of Law. His prior legal experience
includes Worker’s Compensation, Criminal Defense, and
Construction Defect litigation.
In his free time, Mr.
Wade is an avid Disc Golfer. He serves as pro bono legal counsel
for the Las Vegas Disc Golf Club, and he recently assisted
the club in filing as a Nevada non-profit entity. Mr. Wade
also enjoys running and lifting weights.

MICHELE
L. BARON, is a litigation
associate practicing civil litigation, real estate matters, and
landlord/tenant disputes. Prior to joining The Cooper Castle Law
Firm, Michele was criminal prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney’s
Office in Phoenix, Arizona, and an Assistant Arizona Attorney General
practicing child welfare law. Michele has extensive courtroom experience
with child dependency, guardianship, and termination of parental
rights cases.
Michele is a native New Yorker,
hailing from Canarsie, Brooklyn. Relocating to Las Vegas in 1999,
Michele continued a successful career as a corporate trainer for
major banks and health insurance companies before starting law school
at the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2003. While at Boyd, Michele
was a student attorney at the Thomas and Mack Juvenile Justice Clinic,
extern for the Clark County Juvenile District Attorney’s Office,
and a research assistant for Professor Jean Sternlight. Michele
received her Juris Doctorate in May 2006. She is licensed in Arizona
and Nevada, as well as in the United States District Court for the
District of Nevada.
Michele enjoys spending time
with her family, which includes her husband Eric, a pilot-flight
instructor, her son Nikolai, and her two dogs Flash and Norton.
She enjoys traveling, especially to Italy, cooking, running, watching
horror movies, and online shoe-shopping. Currently, Michele is training
for her first sprint-distance triathlon in September 2009 and beginning
lessons for her private pilot’s license. |
